Proofreading services include identifying and correcting spelling, grammar, punctuation, capitalization, formatting, and typesetting errors and inconsistencies.

Services do not include substantive editing, which would alter the content and form of your work. If your work requires editing, this task should be completed before proofreading. Proofreading is the last step before publishing or sharing your work.

First read-through services include a read-through with comments regarding first impressions, suggestions, questions, etc. This service is best for those who have not shared their work with others and simply need general feedback.

Billing

Invoices are sent out upon completion of each service and are due within 14 days of the invoice issue date. 

 

*There is a minimum charge of $2.00 per proofreading.

​

*For proofreading services, all work over 10,000 words will require a $30 deposit upon execution of the Service Agreement, with the remaining balance due within 14 days of the invoice issue date.​

​

*For first read-through services, all work over 50,000 words will require a $50 deposit upon execution of the Service Agreement, with the remaining balance due within 14 days of the invoice issue date.

*Fractions of a cent are rounded down to the nearest cent.
